Though the vehicles are almost identically priced, the CX-5 comes with more standard options. Other features on the CX-5 that aren't available on the CR-V include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and in-vehicle assistance. Seems like a no-brainer to go with the CX-doesn’t it? Both vehicles are similarly efficient, however. The CX-5 averages an EPA-estimated 31 highway and 25 city MPG whereas the CR-V is just a tad higher at 32 highway and 26 city. Performance-wise, it's pretty much a wash between these two crossovers.
